Description

Crunchy broccoli salad with cheddar, bacon, and a creamy sweet-tangy dressing — perfect for potlucks, BBQs or weekday meals.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups broccoli florets (fresh, chopped small)

1/2 cup sharp cheddar (shredded)

1/3 cup bacon (crispy, crumbled)

1/4 cup red onion (thin sliced)

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp sugar

Salt + pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Wash broccoli well and cut into bite-sized florets

2. Optional — blanch 2 minutes then cool immediately in ice water

3. Mix broccoli, shredded cheese, bacon, sunflower seeds + onion

4. Whisk mayo + vinegar + sugar into creamy dressing

5. Pour dressing over bowl and toss until fully coated

6. Chill 30 min before serving for best flavor and crunch

Notes

Store in fridge 3–5 days (airtight)

Keep dressing separate to maintain crunch

Add dried cranberries or apples for sweetness

Swap mayo with Greek yogurt for lighter version
