This hot honey sweet potato beef bowl is cozy, sweet, and spicy. Roasted sweet potatoes, savory beef, and a sticky hot honey drizzle come together in a satisfying comfort bowl perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 lb ground beef (85–90% lean)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Hot Honey:
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Optional toppings:
Avocado slices
Pickled red onions
Fresh cilantro or parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
2. Toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika
3. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until caramelized
4. Brown ground beef in a skillet with garlic, chili flakes, salt, and pepper
5. Simmer honey with chili flakes and vinegar on low heat for 5–10 minutes
6. Assemble bowls with sweet potatoes, beef, toppings, and hot honey drizzle
